solweb

solweb is a protocol where websites live on the Solana blockchain and are opened with sol:// URLs. Putting the site on-chain makes it verifiable, censorship resistant, and versioned. Here is a browser that lets you browse these sites, and here is the paper describing the protocol. The project is fully open source and does not have a token.

A site, on chain

Every page opens beside a sidebar that reads the site's accounts straight from the chain. Here it is for the protocol paper:

On macOS, open the disk image and drag solweb into Applications; it is signed and notarized by Apple. On Windows, unzip it and run solweb.exe; SmartScreen may ask once (More info, then Run anyway). On Linux, extract it and run ./solweb; it uses the system's WebKitGTK 4.1 (on Debian and Ubuntu, sudo apt install libwebkit2gtk-4.1-0). SHA256SUMS.txt lists every file's checksum.
